On this plan, a Thing happened.

The thing that happened was that my wife and I had a conversation in which she gently and patiently led me to the conclusion that I had no place to store this (glorious) monstrosity of a truck, no appropriate facility in which to undertake a body swap (an engine swap might be a different story), and perhaps most importantly, not very much spare time. She did , however, encourage me to pursue my plans to camouflage and drive the Vic... My wife is wonderful. Let me be on the record with that statement.

ALSO: thank you all for being such great pals in this space!

I am pretty sure that was the right decision.

Was this just a tactic to keep her on board with the more reasonable plan by scaring her with the possibility of the way crazier plan?

HA! No, she’s too smart for that and she knows me too well. She’d see right through me. She doesn’t want to discourage my creative desires, either.

Thus proving once a again why wives our often refered to as, “our better halves.”

I was wondering how you were planning to pull off that swap in your driveway.

I got her and all she got was me.

I have a place I could do it, but it would be a hassle because reasons.

I’ve got this great friend who would let me do anything at his yard, but he is so particular that he would have to look over my shoulder for each and every bolt and I’d have to use his tools and constantly be asking where smething was and running everything past him and it would be excruciating. I feel totally helpless when I am over there. When I’m home, I can pull off lots of clever and creating things, but I am limited by no lift but j ack s and a cherry picker. And it’s slow going but it’s 100% me. When I’m with my friend I can’t just try something. I have to explain it and then it’s, “Well why not do it like this?”

Can you relate?
